Privacy

This website has no accounts, no login, no advertising and no analytics. It does not track you between visits and it sets no tracking cookies.

What the site stores on your device

If you use the weight calculator, the list you build is kept in your own browser, in what is called session storage, so a reload does not lose your work. It stays on your device, it is cleared when you close the tab, and it is never sent anywhere on its own. We cannot see it.

What reaches us, and only when you send it

Nothing you type reaches KHERO until you choose to send it. When you do:

• The enquiry form opens your own email application with the message filled in. You press send. We then hold it as ordinary email.
• The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with the message filled in. You press send. WhatsApp carries it under their own terms and privacy policy.

So the personal data we receive is whatever you put in that message, typically your name, your company, your phone number, your city and what you need. We use it to answer your enquiry, to quote, and to supply you if you order. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside KHERO except where we are required by law.

Third parties this page loads

The typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Loading them tells Google your IP address and browser, as any request to any server does. That is the only third party this site calls before you choose to contact us.

How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we have a business reason to, and for as long as tax and company law requires us to keep records of a transaction. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it. Write to info@khero.in and we will answer. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Nothing here is an offer or a price

This site is information and tools. It is not an offer to sell, it does not quote a price, and nothing on it forms a contract. A sale exists only when we have confirmed your order in writing, against our own terms of sale, with a specification, a price, a quantity and a delivery commitment stated on that confirmation.

Stock and supply

We do not hold stock against this website. Material is supplied against a confirmed order. Availability, lead time and price are what we state on the confirmation and not what you may infer from anything here.

Certificates

A material test certificate travels with the vehicle. It is not issued in advance of despatch.

Standards quoted on this site

Where this site quotes an Indian Standard, it names the standard, the table or the clause, and where the copy was read. Those standards are the property of the Bureau of Indian Standards and are reproduced here only to the extent needed to say what a figure means. They are quoted for reference. The published standard governs, not our summary of it.

This site’s own content

The KHERO name, the wordmark and the text and design of this site belong to KHERO. You may read, print and share it. You may not present it as your own.

Where we link to another website, that site is not ours and we are not responsible for it. Its own terms and privacy policy apply once you leave here.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.

Disclaimer

The calculator is a planning figure

It is a planning tool. It is not a structural design and it is not a bar bending schedule, and it must not be used as one. Where it applies a percentage of steel to a concrete volume, that percentage is a trade planning figure, not a design: a real quantity comes off a structural drawing and can differ from it by a wide margin. Check every figure against your engineer’s schedule before you order, and before you build.

Weights are nominal

Weights are worked from nominal mass or from standard density. Rolled, cast and drawn material carries a tolerance, and the relevant standard is named beside each answer. A delivered lot can sit anywhere inside that tolerance and still be to specification. The weight you are invoiced for is the weighbridge weight, not a figure from this site.

Size and section tables

Section tables here are the sizes commonly rolled in the Indian market, cross checked against the sources named beneath each table. Where sources disagreed, we say so rather than pick one. For a section not listed, or where exactness matters, take the figure off the standard or off our quote.

No liability for reliance

We take care over everything published here and we correct what we find wrong. Even so, to the extent the law allows, KHERO accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on a figure, a table or a calculation taken from this site rather than from a confirmed quotation, a test certificate or a structural design.
